Remember life before Netflix, Playstation and iPads?
Sometimes it’s nice to revisit that life. Cardboard boxes down the hill is slowly becoming a daily ritual at our house 😂
I can honestly say that moving out to some land a couple years ago has been the best decision we ever made as a family. We tried estate style living to surround ourselves with other families, then we tried the lavash stuff in the big fancy house in one of those talked about streets and then finally we found home. Our little Queenslander on the hill surrounded by nature. It feels like a constant holiday and it has had a dramatic effect on our happiness. We told ourselves it was for the kids but it’s benefited Megs and I as much as it has them. I’ve even learnt how to do a few manly things around the place 😆
These moments are special 😍
It reminds me... If you’re a busy person but you’re also a parent then focus your attention on how many moments you create not how many minutes you spend with your children. I don’t believe all time is equal, passing time together and spending time together is different. Don’t be a clock watcher with your kids be a moment maker. Do something that will leave a positive marker in their mind, something they will want to relive through story telling and sharing. That’s the magic of moments and I promise you it will be the moments that help build the relationships not the minutes.
