$187,480 spent on self education to be exact...
I could’ve got a 1 bedroom apartment in Brisbane City 😆
Yesterday a mate of mine said, everyone’s a fan until you ask them for money. Then, it’s radio silence... It got me thinking 🤔 I wonder what the price of success is other than hard work, belief, providing genuine value...all that normal stuff.
So, here it is... the price of my success is $187,480 spent on courses, seminars, coaches, paid groups, subscriptions etc Now this doesn’t include the flights & accom, the library of books I’ve consumed or the time taken to ask questions & seek advice from mentors.
🍹That’s 15,623 vodka red bulls! 🕹Over 2000 PlayStation games & 🍔 37,496 Big Macs!
So let’s call it 20k per year on average is what I spend on myself. Some people will think this is crazy! I think it’s logical. Let me explain.
Life is pretty simple:
Input = output
Output burns input and so further input is required.
Fuel goes in = car drives
Car burns fuel driving so needs more fuel to continue.
Want car to run better? Use better fuel. Want it to keep going, top it up regularly.
Your body 🏋️♀️ works the same and So do your: Finances 💰 Confidence 😎 Relationships👩❤️👨 Etc etc
You can’t have output without input, it’s simple!
Now I didn’t start by spending 20k a year I started with a $20 book. Here’s what happens... the 💵 you spend on yourself has the ability to appreciate or depreciate. $1 on Big Mac will probably cost me $2 on health problems in the future. Therefore a loss of 200% 🤦♂️ $1 on my education which allows me to add more value to a company, an audience, my staff, a relationship or my health will no doubt either save me future expenses or better convert into $2, $3, $4 which would allow for me to upgrade my input $ lead to larger outputs in the future. 🤷♂️ So why are people all over the world cueing up at fast food stores but my friend thinks no one will spend money on self development?
You’ll have to answer that one for yourself. My theory of self development is this: Smart people spend 💰 to acquire knowledge from those who have what they want, so they don’t have to spend time acquiring it.
You pay with time or $. You choose...
